The Madison School is a newly established private school located in Madison, Wisconsin. We opened our doors in September 2007 to 34 children and welcomed 27 more this year. Our Waldorf-trained teachers provide a curriculum that not only addresses children's intellectual capacities with lessons that reach their heart, head and hands, but also encourages their sense of wonder and joy in being alive in the world today. Read more about our school and Waldorf Education.

The Madison School welcomes students and families of all races, religions and cultures to join us. Because we believe Waldorf education should be within the reach of all, regardless of income, this spring we are beginning the process of implementing an "Accessible to All (ATA)" philosophy. By becoming an ATA school, all children and families that want Waldorf education and are committed to it will be able to attend our school.

For the 2009-2010 school year, The Madison School will offer the following programs:

  • Parent & Toddler Playgroups
  • Wondergarten for 2 ½-4 year olds
  • Mixed-aged Kindergartens for 3 ½-6 year olds
  • Grades One, Two and a combined Grade 3 & 4.
  • Before Care and After Care will also be available.

We will add a grade every year until grade 8. Our vision for the future is more than just a grade school. We seek a vibrant Waldorf community located in Madison that will include a high school.
